</td></tr><tr style="height: 173px;"><td style="width: 99.87654320987654%; height: 173px;">As they rapidly develop, digital technologies constantly and increasingly introduce novelties into everyday life and thus into the teaching environment. Long-term studies that follow development and progress of digital technologies and their successful implementation in the teaching process show that these changes are not necessarily always positive. This paper will review recent challenges in the teaching process of political education, such as, for example, distance learning and the use of artificial intelligence. The above mentioned will show advantages and disadvantages of innovations in educational digital technologies, suggesting a way to improve the teaching process of political education in a future time.
